Wedding QR Code Generator

Paste a link for your wedding website, RSVP or photo album and get a printable QR code with a caption. Download it as a PNG or SVG, or print it.

Paste any web link. We add https:// if you leave it off. Wedflip does not save your link.

Code color

Keep the printed code at least about 1 in (2.5 cm) wide. A rule of thumb, not a standard.

Your QR code appears here

Paste a link and the code builds as you type. Then download or print it.

Where a wedding QR code earns its place

A QR code lets a guest open a page by pointing their phone camera at your card. For a wedding, that usually means one of five links. Pick the one that matches the job and the generator fills in a caption to go with it.

  • Wedding website: on the save-the-date or the invitation, so guests find the schedule, travel and details in one place.
  • RSVP: on the response card or a table sign, so answering takes one scan.
  • Photo sharing: on a table card or a sign by the guest book, so guests can add their photos to a shared album.
  • Directions: on the ceremony or reception card, linking to the venue in a maps app.
  • Registry: on a shower invitation or an insert, where a long registry address would not fit.

Make the code easy to scan

  • Use dark ink on a light background. This tool only offers dark colors on white for that reason.
  • Keep the white border around the code. Cutting into it can stop phones reading it.
  • Print it big enough. A rule of thumb is at least about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, and bigger if people scan from a distance, such as from a sign.
  • Test-scan the printed proof with a phone or two before you order the full run.

Check the page behind the code

A printed code is only as good as the page it opens. Make sure the page works on a phone and does not need a login, and make sure it stays online until after the wedding. If the page is a Wedflip site, remember the free plan is a 30-day trial that takes the site offline 30 days after you publish it. Upgrade before you print, and the code keeps working.

Wedding QR code questions

Can I use the QR code on save-the-dates and invitations?

Yes. Download the PNG and drop it into your card design, or print straight from the page. Keep the code at least the printed size shown in the tool, leave the white border around it, and test-scan it with a phone before you send a full print run. The size is a practical check, not a standard.

Will my QR code ever stop working?

The code only holds a web address. It keeps working as long as the page at that address does. If the page expires or moves, the code fails. So-called dynamic codes can change their destination later, but they rely on a paid redirect service.

Should the code open my RSVP form or my wedding website?

Link to a page that shows the RSVP form, such as your wedding website. One link on a printed card is simpler than separate codes, and you can change what the page shows without reprinting.

Can I make a QR code for a photo album?

Yes. Paste any https link to the album. If the album asks guests to sign in, guests who are not logged in cannot open it, so set the album to anyone with the link before you print.

Does the generator store my link?

No. The code is drawn in your browser, and Wedflip does not save the link you type. Downloads are made on your device.

Is the QR code generator free?

Yes, the generator is free with no sign-up. Wedflip's free plan is a 30-day free trial, so a wedding site on it goes offline 30 days after you publish it unless you upgrade. Plus keeps a site online for 1 year and Pro never expires, so upgrade before you print a code that points to one.

Give your QR code a wedding website to open

A QR code is only as good as the page behind it. Build your wedding website, then pick the plan that keeps it online past the big day.
