“Together with their families, Eleanor and James joyfully invite you to witness their union”
It began at a summer garden party in Greenwich — Eleanor arranging peonies for the host's table, James arriving late with a bottle of champagne and no idea where to put it. He asked if the flowers needed company. She said everything did.
Three summers later, they are still of that same mind. On the longest day of June, they will make it official.

James Whitfield is a landscape architect and devoted reader of 19th-century poetry. He tends a kitchen garden, makes his own preserves, and believes every great occasion deserves excellent linen.
Eleanor Whitfield is a textile curator and amateur watercolorist who divides her time between New York and the Connecticut shore. She collects antique lace, pressed botanicals, and well-made promises.
