Our Story
How We Met
We met on the 17:42 from Avignon, which was late, as it always is. Amelia had the window seat and a paperback with the cover torn off; Noah asked what it was because he had nothing else to read. It was a field guide to Mediterranean trees. She lent it to him for the rest of the journey and he returned it four months later, annotated in pencil.
The first house we rented together had an olive tree that nobody had pruned in a decade. We spent a whole March learning how. That tree is still there, and so are we.
