## How We Met

Veda was stationed at a marine research lab in Tromsø when Isak arrived to install a new environmental sensor array. She showed him the bioluminescent plankton samples she'd been culturing for six months. He stayed for six more.

They left Tromsø together the following spring — new positions, one direction. This wedding is the next node in a system that has been growing since.

### Isak

Veda is a marine biologist whose research on bioluminescent signaling systems has been published in Nature and Science. She collects tidal specimens, brews her own kombucha, and can identify most plankton species by sight.

### Veda

Isak designs adaptive environmental monitoring networks for ecologically sensitive habitats. His work sits between systems engineering and conservation biology. He communicates better with mycelium than with most people.
